Microsoft Certified Master (Windows Server 2008)

At TechED North America last month Microsoft announced a new qualification, the Microsoft Certified Master, it will initially come in three guises Exchange 2007, SQL 2008 and Windows Server 2008 (AD DS) – more here (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/master)

I intend to sign up and try to achieve the MCM:2008AD qualification as soon as possible. This is the basis of my curriculum.

• Active Directory: installing, designing, configuring and troubleshooting• A thorough understanding of Windows Active Directory design and architecture• A 300-level understanding of site component topology, forest operations and topology, Active Directory distributed file system, file replication services, security, client interactions and Group Policy• A basic understanding of Active Directory Certificate Services, Active Directory Rights Management Services, Active Directory Federated Services and Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services• Functional skills in basic protocol analysis, Hyper-V, scripting PKI and IP addressing and routing• Speak, understand and write in fluent EnglishI will keep a record of my educational experience online.
