Repadmin – Monitoring and Troubleshooting Guide – updated.

Repadmin is a command line tool that is designed to assist in diagnosing, monitoring and troubleshooting Active Directory replication; additionally now that Microsoft have deprecated Replmon, it is critical that you understand Repadmin and all of its intricacies. Repadmin is one of the first utilities that I reach for when Active Directory appears to be having issues.

The information in this guide applies to computers running the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operation systems; in addition it has been specifically updated with new commands for managing read-only domain controllers in Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
